Firefox have refreshed their visual identity which includes a new logo. The internet browser wants to reflect their growth into other online services.
The Mozilla owned brand, Firefox has launched a new brand identity to signify their growth into online services such as; file-sharing, password protection and email checks for data breaches. In a bold move, the company have also dropped the beloved fox from their main logo.
The new Firefox logo, designed by Ramotion, keeps the circular shape but now hinting towards a flame. However, it has been boiled down to give a cleaner look and feel to the internet company as a whole. It’s worth mentioning that the Firefox browser logo still keeps the fox icon.
The brand identity comes off the back of the the company growth into online services such as; file-sharing, password protection and email checks for data breaches. As part of the new Firefox brand identity, some new icons where designed to visualise these new features that Firefox has to offer it’s customers.
The new brand identity aims to represent Firefox’s “entire family of products”, says the company, and “support its evolving product line” beyond the internet browser.
The whole identity has taken Johnson Banks, Hicks Design, Ramotion, Firefox’s in-house design team 18 months to develop. Furthermore, with help from from public feedback. We think the new Firefox brand identity looks amazing and can’t to see it across all of it’s business collateral.
